Best hotel in Neil Island.This hotel has perfect location.The beach is very close to the room .The staff was friendly.Room amenities were also good.Expeeiced was good.Nice hotel for all travelers and this is a budget hotel and value of money.

Big size rooms - reasonably maintained . Has electric kettle, air conditioning etc. Beutiful location with an exclusive private beach where one can sit and enjoy the evening. Breakfast (Vegetarian) is complimentary). The restaurant has limited choice to offer. They are also very strict on restaurant timings - which closes early. No drinks are served. They have a so called bar - serving unknown brands and the ambience is not good at all. The people are courteous - but the infrastucture prevents them from performing. Hotel needs to upgrade its infrastructure.

1. Huts are highly not recommended 2. Congested room, no storage for bags, bathroom not good 3. No basic facilities like tea/ coffee machine, no room service etc 4. Repeated breakfast menu Positive 1. Location near to port 2. Great location

I booked a standard AC room with sea view on the last week of Dec 2022 for 2 nights. It all went wrong. Firstly I called Mr. Babu and asked what is the convenient way to reach hotel . He scared me that unless I book a cab in advance I may not reach hotel . That was not true there were many Cabs and Auto (These are big autos where you can keep your luggage at the back) available . He gave me a Cab Driver's contact (Akash das / Narapada das - 9474277426 / 9933293483). Never ever get into his cab. He is rude , arrogant . He denied to pick me up from jetty unless I make a package trip of 1500 with him. I was forced to make this deal after that we were at mercy of his service . Never came on time . dropped 1 km before destination which was not mentioned earlier. One of the Hotel staff told me based on anonymity that Mr. Babu takes a lot of commission from these drivers. Secondly standard AC room which cost me around 3500 per night was extremely small . we could barely walk around the room. No cupboard , no chair. You can get better rooms in other hotels in this price. Third , the service is worst. The breakfast was complementary . We had to stand like beggars in the queue and they would do favors in serving us . There were other customers who took dinner buffet and ended being hungry at night. The staff has no experience dealing with customers . Only good this is the hotel compound filled with Coconut trees and visibility of the sea but be careful as they don't pluck the coconut and dry coconut can fall on your head.

Cochuts is a shabby place and the whole ambience is way below expectations. Charges are too high for the kind of place. Any visitor will suffer intermittent power cuts and blackouts. Generators switch on and switch off is a manual process and takes a considerable time. Most of the items mentioned in the menu are not available. General hygiene is below par. In our case, we had originally booked for 2 days (19th to 21st Oct) and the hotel rep (One Mr. Babu) insisted on full advance payment. (INR 11200) . We checked out a day earlier ie. 20th Oct (primarily because of poor conditions and fear of Cyclone) and he refused to refund the difference. Certainly, an act of cheating. Would like to caution all visitors. There are multiple choices in Neil Island and please don't make the mistake of booking Cochuts.
